Italy

The partner from Italy will participate in meetings from 2011 on.

After introduction it was discussed what is the best title for the project. All partners agree with the already existing title “HANDS ON HELP” because it describes the project idea in clear way.
It was then discussed how to develop a project logo. Agne Francois Filippi already created a logo to be used for the seminar on 15th October. It was agreed to use this logo as a draft and to discuss and develop it in each participating country. Agne Francoise Fillip will send the modell to all partners until end of November. A final version will be found during next meeting.
Topic of the following discussion was to build up a project webpage. Ange Francois reports about:  http://www.wmaker.net/ which is a low priced offer to create WebPages with opportunities to insert different contents by different people.
Francoise Eppstein suggests following frame for the webpage:

-         Logo of the project
-         Description of project lines
-         Involved countries
-         Current time
-         Important dates
-         Links to partner

The webpage is an important instrument for dissemination and needs to stay longer in net than project duration!
Francoise Eppstein suggests thinking about a forum in the page and about a chapter for documents and reports, for instance. In this case the page has two parts:
One protected private and another open public.
Jerzy Soldatow informed the group his organization is able to establish a project webpage and he will ask about the basic conditions and give feedback until end of November.

The partner decided to build up an independent webpage. Possible title:

Afterwords the partner got an overview about project duration and meeting dates. They agreed the second project meeting take place in Spain, 24th - 26th March.
The third meeting will be in Poland in June 2011. During the meeting in Poland we have to talk  about the 1. report .

Thinking about the main objectives of the project it started a discussion  about the two target groups:
·        Disadvantaged people/ students
·        Teacher
Another question belongs to that:
·        What kind of competences do they need?

As a first step in the process developing a questionnaire the partner will ask ten of their students and five teachers the following questions:

Students:
HOW TO LEARN
WHEN TO LEARN
WHY TO LEARN

Agne Francois Fillipe wants to ask  “What for to learn” as well, because there is a difference between motivation and individual aims. In the final version of  questionnaire this will find allowance.

Teacher:
WHAT KIND OF COMPETENCES DO YOU NEED TO TEACH DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE?

The partners send their interview results to Daniela Kroll until end of January. The results will be used to develop the final version of questionnaire during the next meeting.

At last the group agrees about the action plan until the next meeting.

Closing remarks and acknowledgment to the French partner who organised this effectual first project meeting.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

The project partner have a comprehension about: Education against disrimination.
The participating organisations are already working with disadvantaged social groups.  Across the european countries they share the arwareness that traditionell adult education systems do not achieve disadvantaged people.  On the other hand education is an essential criteria to overcome disadvantage, to develope individual competences, to build up self-esteem  and to become a self-determind member of community. "Disadvantage" is a criteria of  heterogeneus social groups. Unemployees, handicaped people, schoolleavers, migrants are disadvantaged. The project wants to center those, who work with disadvantaged people like teachers, mentors, voluntaries and give them new competences for teaching disadvantaged social groups. In this way disadvantaged people get more chances to participate in adult learning.
Based on the fact, that education has a positiv impact against discrimination of disadvantaged social groups, the project will get an overview about  supporting and detainig factors affect disadvantaged people in participting education and advance participation of disadvantaged people in adult learning.
